Broadstone Chiropractor | First Visit
Welcome to Liebling Chiropractic Care

The purpose of your consultation with the chiropractor is to discuss your health goals and see if chiropractic is likely to help you.
You’ll find plenty of free and convenient parking. As you enter the practice you will be warmly greeted by one of the reception staff and directed to the waiting area. You will then be asked to fill in a brief health questionnaire (this can also be downloaded from this website and filled in before hand if you prefer). If you have children with you, there are some books and toys in the waiting room or please ask if you would like some chiropractic colouring-in!
Health History
This health questionnaire highlights major points in your past and current health history. If you have any reports, x-rays or scans at home, it would be helpful if you could bring them in when you come, as I do not currently have access to your NHS medical records. Likewise if you are taking medications or supplements, people often find it helpful to make a list of what they are taking. This may take from 10 to 20 minutes
Examination
After gaining your consent, you will receive a thorough examination. This will include postural (shows how the body is adapting), neurological (shows how the nervous system is functioning), orthopedic (tests the joints and muscles) and chiropractic assessments (looks more precisely at specific joint alignments). This should take no more than 15 minutes.
Further tests
If we feel that further imaging is necessary before we begin any treatment we will arrange this either privately or via your GP. The main imaging we would refer you for would either be x-rays, diagnostic ultrasound or MRI.
Is chiropractic suitable for me?
Chiropractic treatment is suitable for everyone, including newborn babies, pregnant women, the elderly, sports enthusiasts and even post-surgery. Your treatment will be adapted to suit you. Once you are better, your chiropractor will help you to maintain your health by offering chiropractic check-ups, as well as exercise and lifestyle advice for you to follow in the future.
Will I receive a treatment on this first visit?
Again, this does vary on a number of factors. If youre condition is very acute (i.e. you have not had your symptoms very long and it is extremely painful) then we will do our best to give you treatment on the same day. We will certainly aim to give you a diagnosis of your problem and advice on what to do next. Under usual circumstances please see the next section entitled 'second visit'.
